Rapa Electric Inc. is an electric motor repair company located in West Michigan. Our core business is servicing motors within a 100-mile radius but we have done work for companies located all
over the United States and sometimes even motors from overseas. We specialize in
rewinding and rebuilding both AC and DC motors, fractional through 5000 HP. We also
repair and rework pumps, servo motors, gear boxes, and specialty motors. Our
capabilities include on-site services such as troubleshooting motors and control circuits,
performing laser alignments, and providing preventative maintenance plans. Our
machine shop is skilled in shaft building and modification, custom fabrication, bearing
and housing repairs, precision balancing and much more.

We stand apart from other motor repair shops. We have a solid foundation with 50 years
of experience. We understand how costly downtime can be. Our mission is to keep

Having an in-house Industrial Electronic team allows us to provide on-site installations
and troubleshooting of PLC’s and drives. We work on boards, controls, CRT’s, VFD’s,
soft starts, and relays. Our team is also highly skilled in repairing encoders, resolvers,
and building panels.

Rapa Electric is also a distributor for top-rated electric motor manufacturers like ABB, Baldor,
Toshiba, U.S. Electric and WEG. We are also an authorized warranty repair facility for
Baldor, Lafert, WEG, Sumitomo, Toshiba, and U.S. Electric as well as other electric
motor manufacturers.
